About
Best Bar None is a national scheme aimed at making town centres better, safer and more vibrant places to go out.
The police, fire service and local authorities work in partnership with licensed premises to help them operate in a responsible manner.
Participating local pubs, bars and clubs submit themselves to assessment procedures to meet the specific standards required by the Best Bar None scheme. Accredited venues demonstrate that public safety and customer care are their top priority.
Customers can have confidence when visiting any of the accredited premises bearing the Best Bar None logo. They’ll be reassured that the venues have undergone a rigorous assessment to demonstrate that they are consistently meeting high standards.
Best Bar None accreditation
Licensed premises across Central Bedford can sign up for the scheme. The pub/bar is visited by an assessor who decides if they meet the criteria to be accredited.
Awards and Giving Customers Peace of Mind
All venues who achieve Best Bar None accreditation receive a plaque and window sticker to proudly display in venue. In addition, awards are in place to commend and further publicise those venues who go above and beyond the basic criteria in the following ways:
